Monkey Gives Middle Finger

You ever gone to the zoo and been disappointed that the animals were so damn boring? It’s like yeah those tigers are cool, but I don’t give a damn about watching them sleep. Luckily for Bob Pitchford, he got his money’s worth last week at the Bristol Zoo in England, when he captured a gorilla flipping him the bird while taking its picture.

According to DailyMail, Pitchford didin’t even realize what he captured on his camera until he got home and checked out the photos from his visit:

Surprisingly enough, this isn’t the first time the world has seen an ape give someone the middle finger. Take the video below for example, where a gorilla at Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL got so annoyed at his friend that he flipped him the bird in front of a crowd:

Although these gorillas were giving the finger, we’ve also seen instances of a monkey being flicked off and getting mad because of it. Remember the video of the guy who gave the finger to a monkey and got dropped kicked because of it? Here it is in case you haven’t already seen it.

Do primates truly understand what the finger means? Are we all born with this innate understanding of what flipping the bird means? History says no, as flipping the bird dates back to ancient Greece, where it was used as a symbol for sex or demeaning a person. Either way it’s freaking hilarious to see a monkey giving the finger, and we can only happen it happens to us one day.
